Ever since the Nokia 7280 product page was created, we had noticed a particularly strange entry: One of it's "synchronization" features was: "Nokia Collector supports synchronization with Apple for photos, audio files, and video clips." This is surprising for two reasons. First: Nokia has never been very good at Mac Support. It's PC Suite, the program through which calendar / contacts synchronization, phone browsing and program installation is most easily been accomplished has been Windows-only from it's inception. Second: Nokia always did have bluetooth support in it's phones, which meant that OS X users could still transfer files on their Nokia mobiles, simply sending the program /photo / audio /video /data to their phone via bluetooth. In any case, even though the Nokia 7280 is not yet shipping (it is estimated for Q4 2004, which is, um, now), you may find "Nokia Collector" as a download in the support section. Would someone please try it and tell us what it is? We're hoping it works with all bluetooth-enabled Nokias. You will need Mac OS X 10.0.0 and above.
Update:This works with SE bluetooth mobiles, including the T630 / T637 / T610 and K700i as well as Series 40 Nokia's like the 6230. There is limited compatibility (send files, but no browse) with Nokia Symbian phones. It's basically a prettified version of Bluetooth File Exchange, and allows you to browse the contents of your phone.
