Update: The photos apparently come from a review by GSMArena; have a look at the photographs in their full glory here. The conclusion seems to be the same - The Nokia N90's camera is not as good as the one in the W800i, in spite of the brand-name optics. I think that even the W800i, however, is not as good as a 3-year-old 2MP Nikon dedicated digicam. Maybe the next iteration will be superior.
Slashphone has a photo comparison of the Nokia 90 (a 2 MP Symbian S60 cameraphone using a Carl Zeiss lens) and the Sony Ericsson W800i (a 2 MP cameraphone with the sony brandname).
To be frank, the pictures produced by the Nokia N90 look horrible, comparatively; it produces a less evenly lit photograph and has rather dubious colour preferences - but to be fair, the images are so small that an accurate comparison of things like detail cannot be accurately made.
Worth a look in any case.
