If you're in the US, you can now invite yourself to gmail (which now provides 2530MB of space) if you just give google your US mobile number.
If you are somewhere else in the world, this does not apply. However, I've got plenty of gmail invitations to give out, so e-mail symplification@gmail.com from the e-mail address you want an invitation to go to!
Note: A gmail account is also useful if you want to use the new Google Talk service.
