Tech Digest says that O2 in the UK today announced it would be first network to sell the new Nokia 3G handset, the 6680. While they're probably right, it's surprising that the press release has not been, well, released online: a search on www.o2.co.uk reveals that there have been no press releases since november 2004 (and a bad link to the corporate page), while searching the corporate site, www.mm02.com, or looking at press releases reveals nothing.
Who knows? One thing to note is that the (by now familiar) picture is by no means necessarily accurate. We do like the look though, assuming it's not actually huge. The Nokia 6680 is rumoured to be a Symbian device built along the lines of the Nokia 6630, with an additional camera on the front for videoconferencing without a stand, and a new UI.
A horrible grainy picture has also surfaced, from mobil.idnes.cz; have a peek. We don't like the look of this so much.
