The SingTel SMS Shootout 2005 is open to all Singapore citizens and permanent residents. There is no age limit. Contestants can be users or subscribers of any mobile phone network in Singapore.
You also have to be physically present in singapore from 12th Nov to 20th Nov, and the top prize is pretty attractive: $12,000 in cash, and other prizes worth $13,000 including a pair of Nokia N70 3G mobile phones.
It's basically a test of how fast you can text message, but note that no predictive text is allowed, which means that all of us who have been using current generation phones efficiently are pretty screwed.
