In the first piece of Nokia news from yesterday, there's a new Nokia 8800 in town, which is sure to make the older Nokia 8800 (which we've reviewed!) feel all sad.

You like the look? In my view, that's the main change, although existing owners who need another excuse to upgrade will be glad to find that it has improved battery life - a Nokia salesperson here in Singapore confirmed that with me, and pretty pathetic 1.5 hours for the plain 8800) Hopefully this will mean it can definitely last through a single day.
From what I hear, it's still going to be gob-droppingly expensive, at SGD 1500 (GBP 500), and apart from those improvements, the only other real differences are a better (2 Megapixel) camera and an increased 128 MB stroage space. The "increased" storage is a serious letdown, considering the price. My N80 has 2GB courtesy of a memory card, which only cost GBP 20. Surely Nokia doesn't need margins that fat - or perhaps it was to keep the phone less fat. hmm.
