Nokia N92 revealed

Posted On: Wed, 02/11/2005 - 08:08 by Alex

We've heard that the Nokia N80 was not the only phone which appeared on the web at the www.nokia.com/nseries/ site today.

Apparently there was information about a Nokia N92 and the Nokia N71 as well. The information is not up anymore, but we have some of it mirrored. Read more for the highlights of the Nokia N92, and one more picture.

The Nokia N92 is meant to be a mobile TV device which supports DVB-H. It has a (larger than the iPod Video) 2.8" QVGA screen, and support for GSM 900/1800/1900 and WCDMA 2100. It has dual cameras, one with 2MP and flash.

It accepts miniSD cards, and comes in the "twist n fold" form factor - quite new for Nokia, and which first appeared about a year ago in the Motorola MPx (please correct us.) It is a rather large device, at 108 x 58 x 25mm, and 180 grams, but this is not unexpected, considering the screen. WiFi-support is also included.

New for Symbian S60 devices, the Nokia N92 has an "airline mode", where the device be turned on to use all functions excluding radio, meaning that it can be used on a plane.
