The 1.0 version of Firefox has been released. This should reinforce it's acceptability: those who have been wary of it's "beta" status shall now be satisfied. There are several advantages: including tabbed browsing, better security, and a intuitive download manager. "Switchers" will have no problems, with their bookmarks and settings transferred over intact. On a more site-specific level; all the "read more" links on Symplification will be properly coloured. Some incompatibility with online banking systems may initially subsist. |

Minox has released a 24-carat Gold Plated Digital Camera, encrustedwith 0.2 Carats of Diamonds. It also has a 4.2MP CCD sensor, and 3× optical zoom. Pity about the 32MB SD. |

This might be a good idea - if you have a 1G iPod which has 1 hour battery life, a faulty backlight, and a total inability to sync. :D

Nokia vows to release 40 handsets in 2005.

Nokia Corp., the world's largest mobile phone maker, plans to bring 40 new handsets to the market next year. This is an increase of 5 over it's 2004 promise to launch 35 headsets. Is this strategy going to work?

Symplification is directed towards symplifying the use of the Nokia 7610. This is very much a "soft-launch", some content has been uploaded, but the majority is stil being prepared. This site will also publish (interesting) technology news, and is looking towards expanding content by leveraging community interest.
