A day after we posted photographs of what we think was the N71 (which we have since removed at the request of Nokia's lawyers), information about the Nokia model "RM-67" has become available on the FCC website.
We've looked through the filings, but there are no pictures available. There is a rendering, though (see left); and a draft manual which states that the RM-67 is an N-series handset.
The draft manual also states that the handset will have visual radio, bluetooth, and all the usual handset functions - and that it will support miniSD cards (page 13) and work on 3G networks as well as GSM. The FCC has only published tests on the GSM 1900 Mhz range, but we're quite certain that the handset will support other bands. It also somewhat tantalizingly states, under "keypad lock" (page 11) that "To lock the keys, close the sliding keypad..." We know that there is an N80 slider arriving, and that sentence would seem more appropriate for a slider phone.
We'll keep you updated.
